Our story began back in 2008 when our Managing Pharmacist, Jayne Wee, opened our first compounding pharmacy in Singapore. However, our mission to create unique customised medications for some of the most common conditions we face today came about much earlier.
Born in Kuching, Jayne grew up surrounded by nature and animals. Years later, as a result of a close family member undergoing chemotherapy and being unable to take conventional medicines, she was compelled to look into other fields, including nutritional and herbal medicine. Her affinity with nature and this heartfelt calling ignited her interest in compounding and the spark behind Amber.
Today, we’re a busy compounding and retail pharmacy with branches in Singapore and Malaysia. Our team of specialised pharmacists create customised medications for doctors, veterinarians, naturopaths and other healthcare practitioners. We also work in partnership with our clients, providing ongoing pharmaceutical support and advice.

Our Amber Compounding Pharmacy in-house R&D team lies at the heart of our operations. Led by Dr Ong Wee Kiat, our R&D team is continually researching, testing new products and validating existing formulas. We also stay up-to-date with the latest industry research so we can continue to lead the way in creating innovative new formulations.
Institutions that we are in collaboration with include Monash University Malaysia, University of Nottingham Malaysia, University of Malaya, and University Malaysia Kelantan. We also collaborate with fellow researchers to innovate and expand our formulary database. Our mission is to translate scientific discovery into practical application.
